The sequel to Appassionata Strings I offers almost all of the articulations that the first Collection includes, but played “con sordino”. This is going to be the most lyrical string ensemble within your studio!
As their name suggests, the muted string ensembles can be simply, passionate. Their broad and emotive cinematic sound defies expectations to get a virtual instrument. They integrate perfectly well right into a number of musical styles, from pop environments to symphonic arrangements, from emotional ballads to films, from pure string beds to finish orchestral scores.
The Appassionata Strings II offer various areas of sustains and Legato Performances, but also include articulations for example accented interval notes, spiccatos, staccatos, various Repetition Performances, trills, and even more. They also include Vienna’s innovative “out-of-tune-samples” where various players from the ensemble carefully correct their intonation because the tone progresses. Mirroring what actually occurs in live orchestral performances, this is a very effective method of creating heightened realism and expression. The Appassionata Strings’ bass portion of 10 instruments contains 6 five-string and 4 four-string basses, giving the lower end a deep and rich flavor.

The Appassionata Strings II Full Library contains 10.7 GB of uncompressed sample data in 44.1kHz/24-bit. As a result of a cutting-edge optimization process, the Vienna Instruments engine decompresses the samples in real-time, so that they occupy only 7 GB of space on your own hard drive. Please be aware: Even if you licensed the typical Library only, the total Library of one’s Collection gets placed on your hard disk since Standard and Extended Library cannot be separated due to structural database requirements.
