Handcrafted totally within the US, the JRS-34 combines the top attributes of vintage and present day technologies to create a high-quality active ribbon microphone ideally suited for music and voice. The active JRS-34 demands phantom power and has an output level compatible with practically any contemporary preamp. Included can be a lovely handcrafted wooden box as well as a microfiber mic cover, developed to effectively shop and clean the microphone. Made in collaboration with Stephen Sank, the Cloud ribbon mics had been provided the model quantity prefix JRS in homage for the late Jon R. Sank, Stephen Sank’s father (1934-1998). Identified for his function with RCA that created legendary microphones such as the BK-11 and BK-10A, the senior Sank succeeded RCA’s Harry Olson as the guiding force behind the company’s continuing development of ribbon microphones.
